Technical scope and sources
This reference is educational and covers common 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK configurations. Exact torque values, capacities, fluid requirements, fasteners and service sequences can vary with model year, engine, axle, factory options and prior repair. Verify the exact vehicle and use the applicable factory service information before tightening a fastener or filling a component. The 2018 JK Owner’s Manual and Mopar’s maintenance schedule are starting points for 2018 operating and maintenance information; use matching documentation for other model years. Read the OffroadMe editorial standards for our source hierarchy.
Jeep JK Rear Track Bar Torque Specs
The rear track bar is responsible for centering your rear axle housing under the Jeep. A loose rear track bar bracket is a very common issue on lifted JK Wranglers and will cause the rear end to sway or “tail-wag” over bumps. View our full Jeep JK Master Torque Database for more specifications.
