About OffroadMe

The End of the “Parts Cannon” Era

If you’ve ever posted a question about a Check Engine Light or Death Wobble on a Jeep forum, you already know the problem. You get 15 different answers, 10 people telling you to buy parts you don’t need, and a dealership quoting you $1,500 for a rear main seal when you actually just have a cracked $200 oil cooler housing.

That is exactly why OffroadMe was built.

Meet John Dason

By day, I manage industrial maintenance operations, specializing in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex machinery and pneumatic systems. By night, I apply that exact same root-cause diagnostic discipline to the Jeep Wrangler JK platform.

As the owner of a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK, I got tired of the guesswork. When dealing with the 3.6L Pentastar, CAN-bus electrical gremlins, JScan programming, or dialing in the perfect suspension geometry, guessing isn’t good enough.

The OffroadMe Standard

OffroadMe is designed to be the ultimate Technical Command Center for JK owners. Every guide, calculator, and diagnostic decoder on this site is built on a strict philosophy. We don’t throw parts at problems; we find the root cause.

When you use our resources, you can expect:

  • FSM-Verified Data: We don’t rely on forum rumors. Torque specs, wiring diagrams, and procedures are grounded in Factory Service Manual standards.
  • Root-Cause Diagnostics: We use structured workflows to test, verify, and isolate the actual point of failure before replacing anything.
  • Real-World Wrenching: The solutions provided are tested in the garage and proven on the trail.

Whether you are trying to calculate the perfect gear ratio for 35s, decipher a P0300 misfire, or finally cure your front-end clunk, you are in the right place.

Grab your torque wrench, plug in your OBD2 scanner, and let’s fix it right the first time.

How we build and update our guides

Read our editorial standards and technical sources to see how we distinguish factory information, diagnostic guidance, and modification considerations.
